Southampton have a business model that relies on a very rich woman with zero interest in football not cashing in her chips for a respectable amount of time after her father's death.
I wouldn't get too carried away with the Saints as a model for long-term success.

Forgive me if I dont take too much notice of someone who feels the need to take the polar opposite view to the prevailing wind of opinion on a thread no matter how ridiculous it is. Mental illness that is.
You go ahead, study the two bob Southampton ways, I fail to see how this helps anyone in the slightest except perhaps the poor fuckers that have to rub shoulders with you on a daily basis will get a bit of well earned respite from your incessant and seemingly endless drivel that you presumably unleash on them a regular intervals while you strum yourself dry looking at Southampton's happy clappy faux progressive masterplan for winning exactly fuck all.

My point being that I think we need more than just to take their manager to change our fortunes.
You'd have to be an idiot to think Koeman would join us this Summer anyway.

it's all about attitude and intent. Southampton have an ambitious, forward thinking manager who goes out to win games. we have a safety first, respect the point cunt who thinks overachieving is dangerous

It's abundantly obvious that some of us don't give a fuck about what makes a club succeed or fail - if we did we wouldn't have been so complacent with the current regime. Nor would we understand our club's utter lack of progress over recent decades.
Those who do give a fuck would do well to look at clubs like Southampton to learn what they've done right. Rather than just crave their manager with the blinkers on.

I dont give a fuck about Southampton or for Alex V's opinion.
We have on paper a team that is as good as theirs. Wether we'd be able to field a team at that level for a long period of time is another matter but its also a question for them as they've only had one good season and havent actually achieved anything of note.
Lets all put our dicks away, with a decent manager we'd have been above them this season so lets stop wanking over their two bob club and direct our attention to ours, with our club killing cunt of a manager and that silly fucking cunt Brady in the paper making excuses for the other cunt.
Fuck off the lot of you.

AlexV is spot on here... but a manager in that ilk wouldbe a start, and he'd need time. Our youth set up really does need a revamp, in conjunction with a manager will play them, whete the transition from a game in the stiffs to a game withthe full team isn't so massive. I see Burke as well as he has been playing has been doing a lot of humping it forward.. on the occassions I have seen him in reserves he doesn't do a lot of yhat.

QPR were level with Chelsea at the beginning of the Season. Just Nicey being a cunt.
We were probably over achieving up until Christmas, in all honesty. I don't think anybody expected us to stay there. But thank fuck we did over achieve, in the first half of the Season, or we could be filling one of those bottom three slots.

Never suggested to just steal their manager...but a progressive thinking manager should be able to contribute in improving all of those things we're lacking...we need a man with a vision

Completely disagree. We lack the facilities, the structure, the proven recruitment skills, analytics, focus on youth development, continuity from youth to first team, philosophy on the pitch or off it.
The idea that just nicking their manager would solve all our issues is absurd imo.

I remember many tipping Southampton for relegation at the start of the season after their player and manager exodus. Still I love to hear from those with the superpower of hindsight.

The point is that we clearly have the foundations to be where Southampton are but need a manager who is capable from pushing on from where we were at Christmas. You don't end up top four at Christmas through pure luck.
Your point that we were level with Chelsea at the start of the season and therefore almost won the league is the actions of a fucking retard. How the fuck do you compare that with being in the top four at Christmas?
Surprising because you normally come across so level headed and normal on here.
